Eldon Wayne Courtney, 92, was born February 2, 1934, in Nebraska, and died March 7, 2026. He was a beloved, hard-working man who made his home in Hillsboro, Oregon, and whose steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Those closest to Eldon will remember the quiet ways he showed care—through consistency, through time given, and through the simple comfort of being someone others could count on. His life was shaped by devotion to doing things well and doing them right, the kind of strength that doesn’t call attention to itself but leaves a lasting mark.
Eldon found joy in woodworking, where patience and skill came together in the work of his hands. He also loved country western music—familiar songs and stories that felt like home, playing in the background of everyday life and special moments alike.
Please join us for a Public Visitation, Celebration of Life, and Reception starting at 12:30PM Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Skyline Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4101 NW Skyline Blvd., Portland, OR 97229. This will be followed by a brief Graveside service at 3 PM.
