Elizabeth, who went by Liz, was a Native Oregonian. She was born April 22, 1925, in Portland, Oregon. She attended Parkrose Senior High and graduated from Jane Addams High School. After high school, Liz worked in the Portland Shipyards during World War II.
Liz Married Robert Van Atta after the war and they lived in Northeast Portland. Her favorite weekend pastimes were camping and fishing. She was an avid bowler all her life and frequently attended bowling tournaments all over the country. She bowled well into her nineties.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald and Richard of Portland; a daughter, Shirley Shoun of Eagle Crest Oregon; and four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
