Ellie Marie Carmichael

Ellie Marie Carmichael passed away unexpectedly on September 19th, 2022 at the age of six. Ellie was the heart of our family; her big smile and infectious laugh could brighten anyone's day. We are forever grateful and will treasure the short time we had with her. She battled two stays in the NICU, various medical complications and at four months old was diagnosed with a rare genetic mutation called Gould's Syndrome. Over the years, with the help of her support team, Ellie worked hard and made huge progress in her mobility, communication, and feeding. She was excited to return to school to start first grade this fall to see her teachers and classmates.

Her family: parents Matthew and Solvig; siblings Adeline and Jackson; grandparents Earl & Maryanne and Doug & Kathryn; loyal bunny Adella; and her entire extended family, friends, teachers, and medical team will hold her in our hearts forever. Ellie will be remembered for her perseverance, comedic timing and silly giggles. She will be missed immensely.

A Celebration of Ellie's Life will be held on her birthday, Saturday, November 12th, 2022 at Finley-Sunset Hills from 2-5pm. If you are comfortable, please bring happy stories and memories of Ellie to share. The family also requests that you wear masks during the service to protect her new brother who is too young to be vaccinated. The gathering will be kid-friendly and we will provide refreshments and an ice cream sundae bar.
