Eloise married Wes in 1939 and they enjoyed 72 years of marriage before Wes passed away in January 2012. They had two sons. Robert predeceased Eloise, and her son Kenneth (Cindy) currently lives in Washington State.
Eloise has eight grandchildren; Linda Warden (Lyle), Robert, Donald, Lori Schofield (Dan), Dawn Nelson (Don), Kenneth, Keith (Lacie), and Kyle (Cheryl). She has six great grandchildren.
Eloise considered herself a homemaker with many hobbies. She enjoyed decorating wedding cakes for family and friends. Eloise bowled in a bowling league for many years and she enjoyed traveling around the United States to bowl in tournaments.
Eloise was an avid gardener, and she loved to sew, knit, crochet and do ceramics. Eloise particularly enjoyed bird watching and she spent many hours near the windows watching her bird feeders.
Eloise was a talker and she enjoyed telling stories from her childhood and talking about the various activities that she was involved in. She could be very opinionated and you learned to avoid discussions about politics and current events unless you were willing to engage in a really lively conversation.
Although Eloise missed Wes dearly, she continued to live each day to its fullest with a cheerful positive attitude. She found joy and pleasure in simple things such as the smell of fresh flowers and the shine of her freshly polished nails. She didn¹t take a single day for granted and she often mentioned how blessed she was to have lived such a long and wonderful life.
