

Eloise is survived by her three children, N Ronald, Steven F, and Clifford F; three granddaughters, Lauren, Audrey, and Catherine, and three great-grandchildren. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend who left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Eloise was the daughter of Floyd Frederick Tapfer and Edith (née Meyer). Growing up in Oregon City on the family farm on Pete’s Mountain, Eloise's strong and independent spirit flourished. She was known for her nurturing nature and unwavering support, qualities that deeply resonated with her family and friends.
In May 1947, Eloise married Harold Napper, and together, they had a son, Ron, in May 1948. After their divorce, she married Harry Crandall in May 1955. They lived in NE Portland for 15 years. They had two sons: Steve, born in October 1956, and Cliff, born in April 1958. The family eventually moved to Gresham, where they lived until Harry's passing in 1999. Eloise then relocated to hometown of Oregon City.
Eloise supported several non-profit organizations, including the Oregon State University Extension Service, with her time and philanthropy. For many years, she volunteered at the local hospital, sewing holiday stockings for the patients. Her dedication and kindness left a lasting impression on those she helped.
Eloise was an avid gardener, passing on her knowledge and passion to her children and grandchildren. She could often be found in her garden, sharing her love of nature with those around her. Her family and friends will always remember the time spent together, nurturing plants, and enjoying the beauty she cultivated. Eloise was a devoted lover of nature, spending countless hours camping and fishing in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched and the love she shared. Eloise will be dearly missed by her family and friends, who will forever cherish the memories of her warmth, generosity, and unwavering support.
