I met Erick when we were attending Fairview Elementary School. I would ride my skateboard 5 miles in the heat of the summer to make him come skate with me. This continued our whole life. Erick was an awesome uncle to my son and the best friend I’ve ever had. I can easily say I’ve spend more time on a skateboard with Erick Diaz then anyone else in my life. I have learned more tricks from skating with Erick than anyone I’ve skated with. Erick is my best friend and a huge inspiration in my life. I’m definitely going to miss him calling me names and telling all the little kids at the park stories that are definitely not true. Lol anyone that’s skated with us knows what I’m taking about. Every session is with you and for you brother! Your name will be on my board forever❤️.

I love you Brother

For 28 years his smile and skating abilities have inspired me personally! His energy at all times was so intense and joyous. His kind words of excitement anytime he saw me skating or just hanging out is what I will remember the most!

That smile, that style, that skating angel -- he had it all -- plus Stella!
Our hearts are heavy at this time. We so much loved being your neighbors in Beaverton -- only wish that it could have lasted longer!
Stella - please keep in touch with us, and we will see you soon.

Bob, Bruce and Baxter (Woof!)

We love you so much!

Words can not express how in disbelief I am that he's gone. Right from the get go I knew he was the right one for my dear friend Stella.
Always with a smile on his face and an all around great guy. He will be missed.
