She was born on December 30, 1924 in Portland, Oregon to parents Pearl and Walter Rose. She grew up in the Portland area and as an adult worked at Emanuel Hospital as a surgery aid in the 1950s. In the 1960's she worked with her husband in a Credit Union Office for 20 years.
Esther loved to sew her own clothes and she loved to travel. She was a skilled cook and was very active in her sons lives when they were young boys.
She is predeceased by her husband, William Idle and a son, Billy L. Davis.
She is survived by her sons: Marvin Davis, Kenneth Davis and Dennis Davis, a niece Tammy Conner and extended family and friends.
