Eugene Winfred Guinn

He was born November 30, 1934 in Dallas, TX.

He was an Army veteran who served his country in the 1950’s. Afterwards, he went to school at Southern Methodist University, graduating with an accounting degree and obtaining his CPA in 1963.

Eugene met the love of his life, Marilyn and her 2 small children, Rickey and Sandy, in Dallas, TX. They married December 28, 1962. They moved to Portland, OR shortly after they wed. They had their first child together, Ethan in October of 1965.

He and Marilyn lived many places and owned many homes throughout their life together. All primarily in the northwest.

Eugene was a businessman and specialized in finance. He was very successful throughout his career and owned multiple businesses. He had a love for computers and technology. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, yachting, investing, wine, online shopping, listening to opera and classical music, watching professional golf and ice skating. He loved reading and his collection of books is more than impressive.

He is survived by his children Ethan, Rickey and Sandy; Grandchildren Amy, Joey, Jenni, Katrina, Tyler, Josh, Tara and Kevin; and 8 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother, brother and wife, Marilyn.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2022, at Finley-Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Portland, OR. He will be laid to rest next to his beloved, Marilyn.
