

Eugenia was born May 6, 1925 in Kalama, Washington to Tom and Lecile Rinker. She attended Kalama High School before her marriage to James P. Hendryx in 1941.
She was a dedicated homemaker; always attending to the needs of her husband and five children. She was a talented cook, and her pies were legendary among her family and friends. She was gifted in knitting and crocheting. Eugenia was a faithful attendee of her children’s and grandchildren’s school and sporting events. Eugenia was active in the Riverside Little League, Fernhill Babe Ruth, and Faubion Elementary School PTA. For many years she enjoyed participating in a bowling league with neighborhood friends. The Chicago Cubs were her favorite baseball team. She was excited to cheer them to victory over the San Francisco Giants during a 50th wedding anniversary trip. One of her favorite hobbies was attending craft bazaars, and she was an avid reader of mystery and suspense novels.
Eugenia had the ability to make everyone feel special. She is well loved and will be sorely missed by her children, grandchildren, and friends.
Eugenia is survived by her children: Jim Hendryx and wife Georgiann of Gig Harbor, WA, Carol Miner and husband Bill of Vancouver, WA, Steve Hendryx and wife Peni of The Villages, FL, Leigh Ann Englen and husband Mike of Newberg, OR, and Tom Hendryx and wife Jennifer of Berlin, WI. She has eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. In 2007, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, James.
