Forest Richard VanDehey

Forest Richard VanDehey was born on March 17th, 1992 in Portland Oregon to Todd VanDehey and Theresa Atkinson. Forest relocated to Boise, Idaho with his father where he excelled in several sports and academics. He later returned to Oregon and spent time enjoying the beaches and mountains, and remained active in sports, playing for the same softball team for several years. Forest loved spending time with his family and later in his life, traveling and exploring the world. He passed away May 21st, 2026.

Forest is survived by his father Todd and bonus mother Tracie, his mother Theresa, his siblings Tia and Talia Atkinson, and Hudson and Sierra VanDehey, as well as his grandmother Josefina Keane, his great grandmother Norrine Foster, many aunts, uncles and cousins, and his forever partner Marian Tannehill, and his beloved corgi Netti. He is preceded in death by his grandfather John Keane, his grandparents Dale and Carol VanDehey and his stepfather, Scott Atkinson.

Forest will be missed by many. He will be remembered for his love of his siblings and extended family, his love of travel, and his zest for life.

A graveside service will be held at Sunset Hills Memorial Park, 6801 SW SUNSET HWY, PORTLAND, OR 97225, US, on June 13, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm; guests are invited to gather in the lobby at 1:45pm to process together to Forest's graveside service.

A memorial service will be held at Finley Sunset Hills Mortuary, 6801 SW SUNSET HWY, PORTLAND, OR 97225, US, on June 13, 2026, from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
