

Frances was born on July 18, 1926 to Fred and Lauretta Case at their family home in Vancouver, Washington. She was the youngest of two children. Fran grew up in Vancouver, Orchards, and Toledo Washington. Her mother (Lauretta Case), father (Fred Case) and brother (Willis Case) preceded her in death.
Frances married Vaughn “Wes” Cochran on February 26, 1948. Wes and Fran had two sons. Kenneth Vaughn was born on January 28, 1949 and Gary Weston was born on November 19, 1952. Fran worked as a cook for the school that her children attended, and then as a Registered Nurse at OHSU while she raised her two wonderful sons. She loved to sail and travel with her husband. Wes and Fran visited many places in the Southwest United States. She also went on cruises with her husband. Her loving husband, Vaughn, preceded her in death on May 9, 1999. Her eldest son, Kenneth, also preceded her in death on November 14, 2021.
After Frances retired, she kept herself busy with volunteering at the Red Cross and the Travel Center at Jubitz. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She also liked to attend church on Sundays. Some of her hobbies were crocheting, embroidery, and gardening.
Frances was kind and loving and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son Gary (Leslie) Cochran and her daughter-in-law Charlene Cochran; grandchildren Tanya Cochran, Denise (Brad) Lewis, Jacquelyn (Steve) Magee, Mike (Jill) Bentz, and Kathy Johnson; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
