

Frances Pauline (Moulton) Holy was born January 5, 1930 in Sandy, Oregon. She grew up on a farm on Lusted Road in Gresham, which was awarded Century Farm status in 1976. She attended Lusted School and Gresham High School, and later Multnomah School of the Bible. She worked at the Naval Reserve in 1949 as a secretary and later at a cannery off of 22nd and Powell. She married Walter Holy in 1950 and they had two daughters. After Walter joined the Air Force in 1956, they lived in many places, both overseas and in the U.S. After his retirement in 1985 they settled in Vancouver, Washington but continued to travel extensively. Walter preceded her in death in 2018.
Frances was an avid collector of many things: Beanie Babies, matchbooks, Pez dispensers, pens (Oh! The pens!), ceramic figurines; If you can think of it she collected it. She enjoyed gardening, watching the birds in the backyard and homemaking.
In 2020 Frances moved to Cogir of Glenwood and resided there happily until passing away 12/31/25 at the age of 95.
Her favorite songs were “This is My Father’s World” and “Amazing Grace.” Her favorite scripture was Job 19:25,26.
Frances is survived by her daughters Dianna Holy and Linda Holy (Bob Durston), her grandson, Justin Holy (Kristy), and her half-sister, Donna Jackson (Richard).
