Frances Dee Millington

Frances was called home to be with her Lord & personal Savior Jesus Christ on April 21, 2016. She passed away peacefully amidst those who loved her & cared for her in the comfort of her home. Frances was born to Jennie Lee Flagg & Lavon Delmar Gibby in Burch Creek, Weber County, Utah. She had sisters Jean & Sharon; brother Lee. Frances lived in Utah, Moses Lake, WA, Silverton Hills, OR & graduated from Silverton High School in 1949. Soon after graduation she married William O. Porter and they were blessed with daughters Debbie(Moore), Patsy(Talent), Claudia(Catchpole); sons Rick & Don. Frances married Larry Millington in 1979 & his children Judy Schweitzer & David Millington joined the family. She had numerous grand & great grand children. Frances worked for PGE/Portland Service Center from 1979-1996. She enjoyed her home, family, garden, painting, fishing & hunting, and travel to warm climes. Frances was an active volunteer in her New Hope Community Church Choir & Life Recovery ministries. She hosted her ladies Bible study group in her home for years. She tutored many youngsters over seven years through OASIS. She was an active & welcome volunteer at Springbrook Treatment Center in Newberg, Oregon sharing her experience, strength and hope. Our extraordinary special recognition & gratitude to Frances' caregiver Roxie. Services at New Hope on Saturday, April 30th, 2016 at 11 am with reception following. In lieu of flowers; please send donations to New Hope Community Church Life Recovery ministry. Burial following at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.
