Jerry attended high school at Benson High School in Portland, Oregon. He went on to join the Air Force, where he was in charge of instrument repair during the Korean War.
A self-employed mechanic, Jerry’s life was always centered on cars. His auto career started when he raced Indy cars with Ed Sneva and family. In fact, Jerry even met his wife, Lillian, when she was purchasing a car from him. The two were married in 1974 in Milwaukie, Oregon. He loved auto racing as well as motocross racing with his kids. Jerry was hard-working and detail-oriented.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Lillian Marie Vorseth; children: Martin, Murry, Jerilee, Clifford, Alison, Derek, and Joseph; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A committal service with military honors will be held at Willamette National Cemetery on January 30th at 1:30pm.
