Adelaida Pacis Nera. She was the second to the eldest of their 5 children.
Gilda is survived by her brothers Ferdinand Pacis Nera and Roland Pacis Nera.
Gilda was preceded in death by her brother Edgar Pacis Nera and her brother Jesus Jess Pacis Nera.
Gilda graduated at the University of Manila with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She also held a masteral degree in education. She worked at the Department of Education as an elementary school teacher. She takes pride in training her students for any national quiz bees as all of the students that she trained had won the championship trophy.
She migrated to the USA with her family on November 1995. She worked as a supervisor at the port of Portland international airport for more than 10 years. She took an early retirement and enjoyed life to the fullest.
She loves to cook, travel, going on road trips, reading pocket books and watching tv. She was also very religious and was a devotee of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
A visitation for Gilda will be held Friday, June 7, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Skyline Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4101 NW Skyline Blvd., Portland, OR 97229. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at St. Rita Catholic Church, 10029 NE Prescott St, Portland, OR 97220. A committal service will occur Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, 4101 NW Skyline Blvd., Portland, OR 97229.
Gilda will be laid to rest in Skyline Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 4101 NW Skyline Blvd., Portland, OR 97229-2602.
