My mother loved god. But not in an exclusionary way. She loved people. In a very inclusive manner. She was a good mother, in a non-smothering way. She was a supportive wife, who was not subservient but active in her partnership. She was a loyal and limitless friend to many and gave very unselfishly to others. Her heart was open and her hands were always busy.

Even in her dementia and final years, she could find her smile and that twinkle in her eye. Her caregivers often said how much they loved her. They were a team of life savers to our family. We are grateful to all of them through the years.

She has wanted to join Tom, her husband, for many years, now she can and be at peace.

Thank you all for adding something to her life, for even if you have not seen my mother in recent years, or if you were part of her life when her dementia was at its most devastating, you know one thing about my mom: she was a loving person and she was loved.
