Glen Brown, born April 1, 1949, in Wister, Okla., passed away unexpectedly in his home in Clackamas Dec. 22, 2010. Glen and his wife, Mary, have owned and operated Glen/Mar Construction, Inc., in the Portland area, for more than 25 years. Glen is survived by Mary, his wife of 37 years; son, Michael "Andy" Brown and his wife, Cara Brown; daughter, Alison Brown; and beloved grandchildren, 2-« year old Garrett "Bubby" Brown, and nine-month-old Kelsey Brown. He also leaves behind brothers, John Brown of Granbury, Texas, and Bob Brown, of Graham, Texas; sister, Marleta Philley, of Granbury; and numerous nieces and nephews. His mother, Charlotte Stinson; father, Alton Brown; and brother, Ron Brown, preceded him in death. Glen was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War, a man of integrity whose word was golden, and whose handshake was as binding as a contract. He was the consummate storyteller who never met a stranger. His wit and humor never failed him and to know him was to love him. Glen, affectionately known as Moe to family and close friends, loved people and was never too busy to stop what he was doing to listen to whomever needed his ear. A celebration of his life or, "Moe-morial," will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, in the Monarch Hotel, 12566 S.E. 93rd Ave., Clackamas. Friends, family, colleagues, and all who loved and cared for him, please join us. Glen's charities of choice were related to veterans services. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make a donation in Glen's name to your local veteran service organization.
