Glenda Joan O'Connor

January 15, 1940April 20, 2021

Glenda Joan O’Connor was born in Oregon City, Oregon to John and Gleneva Hattan. She attended grade school in Carver and high school in Oregon City. Joan grew up with her brother, Jack along with her best friend, Sally Brown; whom remained her best friend throughout her life.

From childhood, Joan had a passion for horses. Later in life, after meeting her husband, Donal, she was able to start her own horse breeding business where she could continue her passion. Joan and Donal met in 1965 while both were working at North Pacific Lumber Company. The two raised four children together.

Joan was many things: a loving wife and mother, a gardener, a glorious homemaker, a devout Catholic; to name a few. She was strong, both physically and mentally, and a gracious woman who always did the right thing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donal; her daughter, Christy; and her son, Pat. She is survived by her sons, John and Tim; daughter-in-law, Brenda, four grandsons, three granddaughters, one great-grandchild and her brother; Jack.

I'm sorry sorry to hear of Joan's passing. I was able to connect with Joan over the last several years and she was kind to reply to my letters. I will be thankful for her kindness and help in reconnecting family members.
