Glenn attended Atkinson Elementary School and graduated from Franklin High School in 1975.
On November 22, 1981, Glenn married the love of his life, Brenda Jackson. Both, he and Brenda, were employed at the United States Post Office, and after only knowing her for three days, he knew she was the one. Glenn went on to spend his entire career at the Post Office. He was hired in February of 1979, and retired as Manager, Business Mail Entry on July 3, 2012, after 33- ½ years. He was highly respected by all of his colleagues. Glenn always believed once a friend, always a friend.
Glenn was a compassionate, loving father, husband, grandfather, and son. He enjoyed hockey, golf, and just about any sport. He was an avid sports fan, and loved the Red Wings and the Packers. Glenn coached hockey for many years, and introduced many young boys and girls to the sport. He was a PAHA Board member for many years. Glenn and his family spent over 30 years of vacationing at Wallowa Lake, Oregon.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 6, 2018, in Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.
Glenn was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Butterfield. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Jackson; sons, Derek Jackson (D), Blake Jackson (Blakers); his mother, Clara Butterfield; sisters, Shelley Jackson, Sharon Riley (Mick), Sheila Butterfield; brother, Robert Jackson; and grandchildren, Taylor, Noah, Reagan, Jayla, and Carter, all of Portland, Oregon.
