I still can’t believe Grace is gone. 
My childhood has a thousand memories of her and I….. Her and her parents hanging out at my Moms house, and us at her parents home. 
Christmas was our favorite holiday… My Aunt Edie always decorated their home so beautifully for the holidays, and Gracie and I received everything we asked Santa Claus for. 
Our Birthdays were huge! Big parties, big cakes, tons of kids over, lots of food, laughter, and picture taking. 
The summer was the best! Hanging out with her and my Brother at their pool…. 
Gracie was the only person I ever knew in childhood that had a waterbed! Laughs…. And her bedroom was upstairs!  I always spent the night at their house… we’d watch movies late into the night, and laugh…. She used to call me Zozo.  
Gracie was so full of life, she was a sweet, and sensitive girl.  She hated her braces! 
I often wondered how life would have been for both of us, had her parents not moved from San Diego to Oregon. 
I never stopped loving her. 
I treasure my childhood with her. I hope she is at peace with her parents, and my 2 Sisters who also loved her, and my Mom.

I am Shocked beyond belief!!  
Gracie was my God Sister. I grew up with her in San Diego before she and her Parents moved to Oregon in the late 70's.  
Last time I saw her my Ex Husband and I went up to Oregon to see her and my Aunt Edie and Uncle Jack.....Man we had a blast with them. She was only 3 years older than me, her Birthday is the day before mine.  I am so very heartbroken to learn this..... We didn't stay in touch, but I always loved her and her folks. They were a HUGE part of my childhood in San Diego, I never got over them moving away.
Gracie was such a good soul, loving, kind, and gentle. My heart goes out to her Husband, and Daughter.    Zozima Mills

I'm totally floored seeing this obituary of Grace! I've known Grace since she was in 9th grade at Gresham High School, we rode on the same school bus.  She lived up the street from me and I knew her parents Jack and Edie.  I've lost touch with her after high school when I enlisted into the Army...I've fond memories with her going to the river, playing pool, going to Gresham main city park to feed the ducks, having fun neighborhood gathering and eating her Christmas cookies that she made during the holidays:) RIP Grace! God Bless her Husband and Daughter.

I had a once in a lifetime visit from Grace and her family about 15 years ago. My mother and her father were siblings. It was such a pleasure to meet one of my Cain cousins as we are spread all over the US. I haven't gotten to meet a lot of them in person. My sister and I had a great visit with Grace and family and we have kept in contact since. I was able to give Grace extensive information and history of her Cain family.
