June Kent was born on September 19, 1935 to Jesse and Cleo Hamilton in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. She passed away on August 22, 2011 at Laurelhurst Village Assisted Living in Portland, Oregon. After graduating from Langston University and getting her Bachelor of Arts, June spent many years as a school librarian where she touched many young lives.
Mrs. Kent is survived by her children: Edward D. Kent and his significant other Mary, Maurice A. Kent and his wife Gwen, Harriet Y. Kent and Christopher M. Kent and his wife Lisa. June's grandchildren are Ashley M. Allen, Camille G. Kent, Tyler C. Kent, Kimberly C. Kent, Keli N. Kent, Kamarie L. Kent and Jensen C. Kent.
