Harold "Lou" Crowell, 96, of King City, OR, passed away August 3, 2019. He was born in Edmore, ND on Feb 14, 1923 and graduated high school in Duluth, Minnesota. Volunteering for the Navy in 1939, he entered service in 1943. He married Rita L. Perry on March 4 1949. Lou had a career as an Architectural Draftsman for Stagecraft Industries, Western Homes, and Portland Public Schools (16 yrs.). He was a member and leader in the Boy Scouts of America, Mazamas, Portland Americanization Council, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles (63 yrs.). He had passions for the outdoors, gardening, woodworking, dancing, and bowling.
He is preceded in death by his wife Rita, daughter Linda, sister Lorraine, and brothers Everett and Howard. He is survived by his sister Dolores, brother Richard, son Gary, grandsons Hunter and Tyler, and various nieces and nephews.
Public visitation is on Monday, August 12th from 4 pm to 8 pm at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, Tuesday the 13th from 8:30 am to 9:30 am, with service at Willamette National Cemetery at 10 am and a reception to follow from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Lincoln Memorial.
