Hazel worked as a seamstress for over forty years before retiring. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her delicious German chocolate cakes. Hazel and her husband Joseph traveled across the United States together in their camper enjoying the sights and special trips to Reno. They had been married for over fifty years before his passing in 2001.
Hazel is survived by her two daughters Nancy Wright (Ray Simonis) and JoAnn Johnson (Michael); five grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and seven great great-grandchildren.
A committal service will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, October 3, 2014 at Willamette National Cemetery, 11800 SE Mt Scott Blvd., Portland, OR 97086.
