Helen Virginia (Tate) Hougland was born on October 24, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan to Edward Sr. and Chrystal Tate. A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2011 in Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m., Friday, May 20, 2011 in Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life reception will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Milwaukie Elks Lodge:

Helen is survived by her daughter; Karen Turner; grandchildren, Heather McConnell and Garry Turner Jr.; brother, Edward Tate Jr.; and great-grandsons, Ian and Douglas.
Helen was an active member of the Milwaukie Elks and an award-winning competitive amateur dancer.
