September 8, 1946 – May 11, 2025
Helen Paulus was born in Salem, Oregon to George and Athanasia Paulus. She attended college at Oregon State University where she earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Helen was a middle school teacher in Seattle, Washington for more than 30 years. She taught Language Arts, History, and Drama. As she recently stated, she got to do what she loved.
Helen was a selfless person, always putting the needs and happiness of others in the forefront. She had the innate ability to make those she spent time with feel seen, heard, and important. She was a bright light in this world and shared her joy freely with others. Helen loved her family, friends, and her fur babies. She was an avid sports fan, especially of the Seattle Seahawks and the Oregon State University Beavers.
In retirement, Helen was able to pursue her other passions which included volunteering, gardening, travel, and spending time with loved ones. She recently fulfilled a long-time goal of moving to the Oregon Coast, which was one of her favorite places.
Helen was preceded in death by her late husband Alex (Costa) Constantine and her brothers Steven and Deen Paulus. She leaves behind her longtime partner Don Jensen and his family, Nieces, Nephews, Sisters-in-Law, a God Daughter, and extended family and friends. She is loved beyond measure and will be truly missed.
A graveside service for Helen will be held Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at External Service Location, 4801 S Tacoma Way, Tacoma, WA 98409.
