Helen was born in Portland, Oregon and attended Roosevelt High School. She enjoyed many years of Pep Rally, Student Council, and joint meetings with other high schools student council members. Helen cherished the lifelong best friendships that she developed during this time.
She was engaged to Gordon Williams on March 8, 1947 and the two were wed on June 14, 1947.
Helen's favorite hobbies included: sewing, craft making, gardening, landscaping, shopping & baking her ultimate favorite pie was blackberry or berry pie and Apple but only her second choice as she was complimented by all neighbors at her old residence or her new home at the farm, how great they were and when they could have more.
She loved her Blazer games and pre games-She would always make the comment I want the whole ball of wax as she would study the scheduling dates and mark them off in pencil only after each game started. she never missed a beat and reminded Kim & April 24/7 to make sure that radio was on way ahead of time, that she was in her lazy boy chair and ready for action with her Kona Coffee Hotter than hot or she would remind us & a cookie and please do not disturb her when that radio was on, as the evil would come out of Helen as to how important the Blazers were to her.
She enjoyed many years of leadership working for her son Kim at Sunset Office, as she cherished and challenged her mind being a leader in all degrees and the respect those employees gave her with love back unconditionally. She is already missed daily by employees.
She loved coming out to the farm part time and enjoying it so much she decided on her own in a shock to Kim how willing and wanting she was to live on the farm and said lets go and moved out there full time and left city life for a peaceful transition of no stress or any more worries about others in her words.
Most of all while she lived at the farm she met a new handsome young four legged guy with a very big heart and he needed her as much as she needed him and He was bigger than life to her and that relationship could never be severed and he gave her 24/7 unconditional love, protection and a conversation every morning there is my boy with kisses and an evening full of more love and kisses reminding him (Harley) I will see you tomorrow morning this is Helen Time and no one else’s. His name is Harley our black lab and our 4 other little basset hounds, that would meet Helen at her gate for any sizable treats as anyone knowing Helen she would always have sweets stored or hidden in her pockets, socks, or napkins only to get busted for spoiling with a big smirk on her face.
She will be remembered as a caring, Loving, very upbeat, spunky, sharp, quick witted, vivacious Loving lady to all whom were lucky enough to came in contact with her or develop a relationship with her. She would hold a firm hand though and let you know when you needed to be corrected in the words you chose or were out of order in conversations. Above all, Helen was a great individual and listener to whatever that person had to say or if you were out of line she would stare you down. She had awesome people skills, and was very well liked with anyone she came into contact with over her years.
She held a great hand in being a very strong, stern and independent lady and she would definitely remind you of that whenever she had a chance.
Helen is predeceased by her husband, Gordon Williams; daughter, Teri Williams; mother and father Annie and Thomas Morse; older sister, Maria; aunt, Louise; and uncle, Manule.
