

Henrietta Rentie-Cowser (Sis) was born July 31, 1926 to the late John H. Malone and Mandy Kindle-Malone in Tatum Texas.
Henrietta attended Harmon Hill High School in Tatum Texas. After graduating from Harmony Hill, her family moved to Vancouver, Washington where she met and married Charles W. Holland, to this union there was one child, Charlesetta Holcomb Levias.
Those who preceded her in death were her mother Mandy Kindle-(Malone) Lewis; father John H. Malone; ex-husbands, Charles W. Holland and Johnny Rentie. In January, 1977 she married William Cowser.
Henrietta was a woman who loved the Lord, and was a faithful member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist church for over 55 years under the leadership of the Rev. A. Wayne Johnson. Henrietta was a proud member of the Bountiful Prayer group, mother board, nurse guild, a choir member as well as a servant in Sunday School. She was also a lifetime member of the Eastern Star and the Rose Club of Portland Oregon.
Henrietta enjoyed fishing and cooking; her favorite dishes included pound cake, fried chicken and a big pot of turnip greens. Her home was always a place where families gathered to barbecue and just have a great time. She was truly a jewel that everyone loved and cherished. She will be truly missed.
The many jobs she held were American Linen, Meier & Frank, and Tektronix where she retired after 25 years. After retirement she went on to be a foster parent for adults and children. Anyone who met Henrietta (Sis) was blessed by her presence.
Cherishing her memory are Husband William Cowser, daughter Charlesetta Holcomb-Levias(Hilton), daughter/granddaughter Tammy Rentie and, the love of her life her grandson Damion Holcomb (Tamikia), brother John Malone, great grand children, Keyaira Rentie, Diamond Holcomb and Damion Holcomb Jr., Granny to all and let’s not forget Kassie and Olivia Carter-Howard. She leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Just to name a few special people in her life: Dr. Billy Flowers, Dominique Deweese, Joyce Menefee, Gil Flowers, Elsie Weaver, Jessie Mae Tull, Fayrene Menfee and Mary Lou Hooks.
The family would like to thank those who helped care for our mom, Hospice Team, Mary Martin, Louise Gaddis, and thank you Anthony Phillips for all your hymns on any given day.
