My journey began on April 18, 1929 being born to parents Albert Edward and Clara Ann Taylor Dazley.
I grew up in Utah and after marrying Joseph Frank Perez we traveled to various places and lived in several different states. We had a wonderful life together raising our four beautiful children who are so very precious to us, Years later Joe and I ended up divorced. I then moved to Portland Oregon from Utah to start anew and there I met and married Thomas Evans. This journey of mine has been an amazing chapter in my life.
I am leaving behind my four precious children: Ray Perez of Portland, Oregon, Linda (Lou) Cox of Salcha, Alaska, Carol Perez of Murray, Utah and Joseph (Julie) Perez of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Along with them are my 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. I am preceded in death by my parents; 2 brothers Edward and Carl Dazley; three sisters Dorothy Dazley, Clara Jacobsen, and Beverly Jensen; also my grandson Michael Merkling; and great-grandson, David Wold.
I would like to thank all those who cared for me during my final steps at Harvest Homes in Portland, Oregon.
A funeral service will be held at Skyline Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4101 NW Skyline Blvd, Portland, Oregon, on Thursday, April 12th, 2018, 2pm. Ida will later be laid to rest in Skyline Memorial Gardens in the Masonic garden.
