Irene Virgina Moore

Irene was called home to the Heavenly Father October 22, 2021. Irene is survived by her beloved husband of 20 years Edgar Mathews. They have 2 children Marcus and Edgar Jr. Their grandchildren Donald, Shasta, Marquesha, Devante, Chris, Judy, Janelle, Gayle, Gary. Great grandchildren Cara, Brayeleigh, Matthew, Messiah and Aleigha.

She will be sorely missed and survived by her siblings and their families; James and Yvonne Moore and family; Raymond, Jaelee, Raymond jr, and Jasmine. Lionel, Issa and Tyson. Johnnie Mae and Abraham Barron and family; Makeda, Chris, Shakya, Alexcia and Makaja. Margaret, Keith and his wife. Carrie Ann, Ronnie Giles and Shayla.

Irene was born February 16, 1952 in Selma Alabama to Ollie Mae and Thomas Moore. Irene came to Oregon with her family in 1969. She loved the autumn time, the fall colors and crisp air was her favorite. Irene and Edgar married July 8, 2001 at her mothers home in Portland. She was a proud and loyal member of Your Bible Speaks Community Seventh-day Adventist. Irene retired as a nurse from OHSU and took pride in sponsoring her child in another country.
