Iris Veda Roberts

Iris Veda Jackson Roberts passed away on April 14, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital in Portland, OR. Iris was born in Murray, Utah on February 19th, 1946 to Joseph Samuel and Veda Barney Jackson. Iris came from a large family with six brothers; Gary, Arlo, Rafe, Glen, Dean and Don and one Sister, Leida. Upon moving to Oregon in the 70's, Iris met the love her life and married Garry Roberts on February 25th, 1978. By marrying, they had a combined family of four sons; Rick, Bob, Jason and Michael which thrilled Iris to again have a large family to share so much love with. In 1993 she and her husband, Garry, started Cedar Canyon Bottled Water where she worked for 15 years before retiring in 2008.

Iris loved the Oregon Coast and traveling with her husband to Hawaii with their dear friends Tom and Betsy. Iris also loved anything to do with pioneer history of the Oregon Trail. She had many loyal friendships and cherished each one immensely. Iris is preceded in death by her husband Garry, her parents, her sister Leida and brothers Gary and Dean. Iris leaves behind four sons; Rick Roberts; Robert (& Karen) Roberts, Jason (& Paula) Roberts and Michael Roberts, five grand children and scores of cousins along with nieces and nephews that will dearly miss her in their lives.

A memorial service for Iris will be held Saturday May 30, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Skyline Memorial Gardens, 4101 NW Skyline Blvd in Portland, OR. Reception to follow immediately on site.
