

Irma was born on January 24, 1929, in Elkhorn, Wisconsin to George and Elsie (Schmeed) Tscharner.
Irma wished to be remembered as a woman who was devoted to her family as a homemaker, mother, and grandmother, who deeply loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and held the hope that her loved ones learned the value of kindness from her as a mother and friend.
Irma enjoyed knitting, doing crossword puzzles, taking care of her beach house, and playing with her dog. She also loved the music of Pavarotti and Andy Williams. She worked for many years as a circuit board engineering specialist at Tektronix.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Elsie Tscharner, and is survived by Children Patrick O’Dierno, Sherry O’Dierno, Angelo O’Dierno, Jean Patrick, and Betsy Mathie; A sister, Sylvia Tscharner; Grandchildren Mike O’Dierno, Shelley Kaufmann, Tony O’Dierno, Kim Aldinger, Stephanie Bergh, and Nick Mathie; And by seventeen great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Allen’s life will be celebrated at a service on Thursday, October 10 at 1:00 pm at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 11801 SE Mt. Scott Blvd. in Portland, with private family interment.
