

The Loving family is sad to announce the passing of their beloved father, brother, and uncle, Isaac Loving. Isaac left this world on April 27, 2017 in his home in Portland, Oregon. Isaac was born in Wetumpka, Alabama on May 13, 1940, and was the eighth born of 9 siblings. The family moved from Alabama to Portland, Oregon where Isaac attended Boise Elementary School and graduated from Benson Polytechnic High School in 1959.
Isaac married Bettye Minor June 30, 1962. They were married for 30 years and from this union they had two daughters Kimberly and Tiffany and share a grand-daughter, Leslie. Isaac was drafted into the United States Army where he served from 1963-1969 both in Italy and stateside. Isaac then worked at Hyster Company as a machinist and retired after more than forty years of loyal service to the company.
Isaac loved to travel. He enjoyed visiting long-time friends in Italy and looked forward to visiting family and friends around the United States. Isaac especially loved attending family reunions, parties where he loved to show off his dance moves, and just sitting around talking about current and historical events. Isaac was known as a grill-master who made fantastic barbeque and enjoyed sharing it during the summer months. He gave generously to a number of charities and social organizations and he loved taking daily 8-mile morning walks. Isaac also enjoyed fishing for bluegill and going to movies. He looked forward to speaking with his sister Margaret just about every day and was always ready for his weekly phone conversations with Kimberly on Sunday’s after 60 Minutes. Isaac had an infectious laugh and smile that people remember and enjoyed near and far. Isaac will truly be missed by both family and friends,
He is proceeded in death by his parents James and Fannie, sisters Mae, Lucy, Rebecca, and brothers, James and Anderson. He leaves behind his daughters, Kimberly and Tiffany, granddaughter Leslie, brother Willie, sisters Ruth and Margaret, and a host of nieces and nephews. May God Bless his family and keep him in eternal peace.
