Jack was a lifelong Oregon resident and a graduate of Scio High School. He was married to Peggy Hoagland, and they had two children together, one of whom, Kathy Fox, preceded Jack in death when she was a young girl.
He enjoyed travel (snowbirding in Yuma, Arizona for many years), loved to fish (always owning a boat), looked forward to card games with his family, and liked gardening and running a tree farm.
Mr. Fox had worked as a barber, and owned and operated Springer’s Flea Market until it was destroyed by fire.
He is survived by a son, Michael Jack Fox, a brother, Dalton Fox and wife Christine, a sister, Colleen, and two grandsons, Nick and Alex. He is also survived by special companion Diane Fox.
No services will be held. The family would like to express their appreciation for the care given to him by Alina’s Care Home in Portland, and by Diane.
Arrangements are in care of Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home.
