

He was born on August 26, 1933 in Fort Dodge Iowa and was the son to Dwight and Anona Stiles and brother to Rosemary Jordison. He attended Fort Dodge High School and went on to graduate from Iowa State University. It was at Iowa State where he met the love of his life, Marian Schoenmann. They married in 1955 and moved to Wurzberg, Germany where he served as a Lt. in the Armed Forces.
Following discharge from the Army, Jack began a 33 year career with General Electric Company in executive management. Through his career Jack and Marian lived in numerous locations in the United States culminating in a 5 year assignment in Saudi Arabia. They traveled extensively and enjoyed and appreciated the diverse culture of the world. He retired from General Electric and started Sanford Rose Associates Executive Search Firm in Portland, Oregon. He worked with his son, Tim Stiles, as a partner for 28 years. Tim continues to run the firm.
He was an active and contributing member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church, Humane Society of America and President of the Rock Creek Association. Jacks passions were gardening, spending time at his weekend home in Seaside and of course his unconditional love for his dogs, Benzie and Maggie.
Jack will always be remembered by his contagious laugh, endless storytelling, strong political views, feeding squirrels and birds in his beautiful back yard and the many “happy” hours with friends.
He was father to Lisa Nokes, Megan Bryant and Tim Stiles; brother to Rosemary Jordison: and father in law to Mark Nokes, Bill Bryant and Mary Stiles.
Jacks Grandchildren: Kristin Faulk, Kelly Faulk, Samantha Bryant, Jack Bryant, Carly Stiles, and Lane Stiles were deeply devoted to their grandfather. He was a mentor, confidant and best friend to each of them as they grew from toddlers to young adults. Grandpa Jack was very proud of their personal and professional accomplishments.
He is welcomed into Heaven with open arms by his beloved wife Marian of 32 years and his nephew Jack Jordison.
A private graveside service will be held for family.
