It feels like I've known Jim forever. From a shaggy, long haired teen, snowbound at his house for week, through the ups and downs of adult and fatherhood, to sharing grandfather stories over a cold one.
I've always embraced that he and Marge welcomed me into their home and family, even if we were "potentially" up to some kind of mischief. Jim was a kind and caring person who enjoyed a successful carer and family life. I respect the man that he is, and always considered him a good friend.
Quite possibly my favorite memory, ...During a family camping trip to Northern California, Jim was enjoying the sunshine and warm lake waters, relaxing in an inner tube..aka his ship, sporting a nautical hat, and proudly resting his beverage upon his waist, all the while maneuvering around all the other swimmers. In those moments he was the master of his universe. It's a vision I will always treasure and it was the day Captain Jim was born.
Safe travels Jim...may the seas be calm and the moon shine bright. We miss you. Brad

Jim and I were cousins and in years past played together in our short pants. My how the years have passed. Jim had a good life and enjoyed his family. He was a special kind of guy and like his father always good for laughs as was his wife. We all pray for Jim and he will be terribly missed by his friends, wife and children.

I was blessed to be his daughter- in -law and the memories are many. A family man is how I always seen Jim. I cannot share a memories that doesn't include Marge. They were a team always. Jim did give me some valuable advise, he said "it's all about being a couple". 57 years of marriage, they lived it and what a gift to the entire family. He will be deeply missed. I am so very grateful God gave me such a wonderful father- in-law.
