James W. Chin, 93, of Portland, Oregon passed away Monday, January 16, 2012. He was born August 5, 1918 in Portland to the late Tuan and Lok Wong Chin. He moved to Hong Kong at 4 years of age, then returned to Oregon in his late teens. James was the owner of both motels and restaurants, and served in the United States Army during WWII.
James is survived by his wife, Elaine Chin, son Dan Chin, and daughter Jean Reynolds Chin & her husband Robert Reynolds, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 12:00pm at Lincoln Memorial Park & Funeral Home.
