Jim loved the local community. As a businessman, he chose to prioritize people's security by opening Alarm Central Station. ACS monitored many prominent businesses including Nike and Multnomah County, as well as numerous private residences. He loved serving on the board of the Beaverton Market. His early years were spent in the Army, leaving as a Captain after a tour in Vietnam and final duty at Umatilla Army Base.
He is survived by his wife Betty, whom he met at Red River Army Depot in Hooks, Texas. He is also survived by his two daughters, Christie and Laurie and their families.
Jim's ashes will be laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery.
