

James Stanley Fox, 72, of Portland, Oregon passed away Monday, November 3, 2014 in his home, with his family nearby. He was born to the late John Thomas Fox and Hilda Rose Fox on March 15th,1942 in Vancouver, Canada. He attended John Oliver High School. He married Laura Gail Tulloch of Vancouver, Canada on October 5, 1963 and moved to the states.
They lived on the same street in Portland, Oregon for their entire married life.They were married for 31 years until her passing in February of 1994. Jim worked at Zidell Marine Corporation, a pioneer in steel barge construction, for 51 years, initially as a scrapyard helper, then as a scrapyard manager, a welder and most recently as a materials manager. He liked to spend his free time fixing things like cars, appliances and his house.
Jim is survived by his three children: Darlene Jost of Snohomish, Washington; Jim Fox of Dallas, Oregon and Bill Fox of Portland, Oregon. He is also survived by by his older sister, Carol Lipscombe of Quesnell, Canada and his four grandchildren, Aaron and Kristen Jost of Snohomish, Washington and Austin and Ashley Fox of Dallas, Oregon. The memorial service will be held Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes, 1515 NE 106th Avenue, Portland, OR 97220. His remains will be placed alongside his wife’s in a musical tower overlooking a beautiful floral garden in Happy Valley, Oregon.
