James Richard Rothrock, 43, of Portland, passed away July 18, 2014. James was born in Roseburg, Oregon on May 9, 1971. He attended Sheldon High School in Eugene and participated on the baseball team there. James enjoyed the outdoors and was no stranger to camping and kayaking with his son. He also enjoyed collecting baseball cards, football cards and was an avid reader of both political and mystery books. A few words that defined his life would be loving father and personable. James was preceded in death by his biological father, Roland P. Miller. He is survived by his mother, Kathy Davis; father, Gary Rothrock; son, Jackson Rothrock; grandmother, Eloise Crabrugh; uncles, Dennis Buss, Rob Miller, Glen Miller and aunt, Paula Sawyer. A gathering will be held at Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home.
