Janet Lee Nelson

Janet Lee Nelson died February 28, 2014. She was the second of six children born to Dr. John and Louise Stalnaker on October 5, 1948 in Portland. A 1966 graduate of Wilson High School, she attended PCC while working in her father's medical practice.

On June 3, 1967 she married Jim Nelson. Jan worked for a number of businesses early in their marriage as a key punch operator before settling in as an assistant to her husband in his business. A great companion, friend, cook, homemaker, mother and wonderful grandmother. One of God's "Earthly Angels" finally succumbed to brain cancer after a valiant fight for two and a half years.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Survived by her adoring family; husband of 46 years, Jim; children, Gary,(Mary), Kimberly Nelson (Richard Pearson), Jeff (Alyssa) and grand children, Melanie, Michelle, Caden, Alana and Brenna.
