JC Hunter (Folk) born in Dickson, Tennessee on January 18, 2010 and was placed in the loving arms of her mother Delora Folk. She spent her younger years growing up in Tennessee until the family moved to Portland Oregon. She attended Beaverton High school and loved music, arts and crafts, gaming, YouTuber, playing her guitar, and spending time outdoors.
JC has always been a wild and carefree child. JC created so many memories it is hard to know where to begin. Not a day would go by without her trying to create something new, as she loved making things. If she was not making things, then she was listening to music. Music helped her through difficult times and because of her love of music and wanting to learn to play an instrument, she began learning to play the guitar from her friend Yuki.
Though her love for music is grand, her love for her siblings would outshine all else. Whenever she was creating something, it was for one of her brothers or sisters. Her love for her family was enormous and words cannot describe the love she gave and received.
"I cannot remember a day when JC wasn't smiling or excited about one thing or another."
JC had a gentle and kind soul. There is not an animal or person that did not deserve kindness in her eyes and would go out of her way to help someone in need. If JC thought she could help, she was there. Even if it was a simple hand drawn picture by her, she would design it to help brighten their day, or do whatever she could to help their day be a happier one.
The person JC looked up to the most was her step-dad Kevin. She wanted to be like Kevin when she grew up. She admired the strength and love she saw everyday in him. She just never got to tell him how much she looked up to him. One of her favorite memories is when Kevin gave her her first skateboard.
JC has touched so many lives and was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed and forever remember.
JC passed on November 27, 2024 in Portland, Oregon and will be joining her sister Leslie Folk, her Grandfather John Hunter Jr., and her Aunt Ruth Morris. JC is survived by her Mother Delora, her step-father Kevin Folk, her father John Hunter the III, her step-mother Carolann Hunter, her brothers Kevin Folk Jr. and Jazper Folk, her sisters BellaDonna Elliott, Jazmyne Folk, Jayla Hunter, and Auraylea Folk, her Mamaw Donna rye, Papaw Danny Elliott, Grandma Delilia Ward, Grams Linda St John, Godmother Ana Palmer, Great-Grandpa Gene Ward, Great Gramps Danny Moran, Great-Grams Susan Moran, Great Great Grandpa Robert Leagon, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
