Jeffrey Stephen Nagel was born on October 21, 1951, in Portland, Oregon. His parents were Frank and Marjorie Nagel. He was raised in Portland, and graduated from Benson Polytechnic High School in 1969. Immediately following graduation, Jeff enlisted in the United States Coast Guard. He was fortunate to travel all over the world during his time in service, and was honorably discharged in 1973.
Jeff married Janet Yeager in November of 1980. The two were married until her passing in 2018.
Jeff loved having fun. He was always known to have the “party house,” and friends and family remember that his home was the fun place to be. Other hobbies included golf, and participating in a bowling league.
Jeff passed away in his home on September 14, 2023. A private service, with military honors, will be held in Willamette National Cemetery. Jeff is survived by his sisters, Kim Allen, and Leslie Dirocco.
