Jerald (Jerry) Darrah was born in October of 1932. He was an aircraft mechanic with the U.S. Air Force. He served in the Korean War. He retired in '93 as a Master Sergeant. He loved flying and became a pilot while he built his own plane, a glastar. He married Marjorie Elizabeth Dotson in '54. After her death he married Leatrice Borowski in 2003. He served and loved his Baptist Church Family. He served the 304th Rescue and was one of the first on Mt. St. Helens when it erupted in March, 1980. He is survived by daughters Jannie Darrah of Portland and Tammy McGavran of Arizona City, AZ, son in law Doug, two grandsons Michael Baird and Cory R. Baird of Portland, and three great granddaughters.
