This is my second condolence, however it is more of a memory of Joel.  We were close friends when he was in his early twenties and I wanted for him to be remembered for walking/hiking the Appalachian trail as well as for being a ranger with a burro in the Grand Canyon.  He then went on to be a firefighter and fought fires in many states.  He love trains very much and could be found watching them as they roared through town.  He was a very interesting person.

My condolences to the Burris family on the loss of Joel.  He was a long and dear friend of mine and a wonderful person filled with much joy. He changed much after his accident and loss of his wife.  He will be missed.

I had the honor and privilege to be Joel's Nurse Case Manager and Guardian for many years - Joel - you will never be forgotten for your love and gratitude for each art project you created.

You will always be in my heart!!
