John was born on May 3, 1922, in Portland, Oregon to Parents John B. and Nanny (Naslund) Johnson.
During WWII, John served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force.
He worked for many years alongside his father as John Johnson Super Boot where they made rugged custom leather work boots. Later, John worked as a Warehouseman for Portland Public Schools.
Survivors include his loving wife Maydora; and daughters Lois Johnson, Judy Siemieniec, Debra Barrett, and Debbie Smeraglio.
A Memorial Service and Reception will take place on Friday, December 3, at 10:30 AM in Temple Baptist Church, 1319 Ne 7th Avenue, 97232, in Portland. Private interment will take place in Skyline Memorial Gardens Garden of Good Shepherd.
