

Born in Solon, Ohio on March 10, 1969, John attended Dorothy Lewis Elementary School and went on to graduate from Solon High in 1987. He joined the US Navy and served in the Gulf War aboard the USS Seattle as a seaman, rigger and quartermaster. He was a volunteer at the Southern Pacific 4449 from 2003 to 2012. John studied Musical Education at Interamerican University in San German, Puerto Rico, Class of 1998, and was a volunteer string bass player with Cascade Symphony from 2003 to 2008.
John was an avid train enthusiast, a musician and a wannabe chef to the delight of his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife Leonisa (Florentino); his children Anthony Phillip and Peter John Ruppert; his stepchildren Isanisa and Rizaldy Florentino; his beloved little Alicia; his mother Rosa Elena Maldonado; his brother Charles H. Ruppert (Clare); and his sister Henrietta Ruppert in Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by his father Henry C Ruppert, his brothers Thomas Solon Ruppert and Phillip A. Ruppert, his paternal grandparents Henrik and Maria Ruppert in Hungary and his maternal grandparents Juan De Dios Maldonado and Filomena Miranda in Puerto Rico.
John Ruppert was a proud family man and the best friend anybody could have, generous and kind. He will live forever in the hearts of everyone he touched.
