Joseph D. Beemer

Joe was born on July 8th 1928 in LaGrange, Wyoming to Alpheus Henry Beemer and Myrtle Effie Loftis.

He and Barbara Corinne Jenks married in 1946 in Vancouver, Washington. Joe and his family lived in Lebanon, Oregon until they moved to Portland in 1953.

Joe became a Certified Public Accountant and was the founder of Beemer, Johnson, Smith & Co. C.P.A.'s located in SE Portland.

He was a member of the Estate Tax Committee of the Chamber of Commerce, the Estate Planning Council, the American Institute of CPA's and Oregon Society of CPA's. He was a Past President of both the Portland Toastmasters Club and the Oregon Geological Society.

Some of Joe's interests include long walks, traveling and socializing with his family, friends and neighbors.

Joseph is preceded in death by his daughter Joyce Annette Beemer and his brothers Harold, Gerald, Sidney, and Clifford.

Joe is survived by his wife Barbara “Connie” Beemer, one older brother Wesley Beemer, sons Lloyd and David Beemer, daughters-in-law Carol and Jill Beemer, Grandchildren Eric, Dwight, Wesley and Stephen Beemer, step-grandchildren Tegan Johnson and Theron Anderson, great-grandchildren Mady, Kailee, Noah and Jonah Beemer, step-great-grandchildren Kyan and Kaven Johnson.

The memorial service and reception will be held at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home at 11801 SE Mt. Scott Blvd. Portland, OR 97086 on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m.
