I was the first woman installer at the Bryant St garage and Joe was a mentor to me.
The first telephone pole I climbed, Joe climbed right behind me to catch mer should I cut out (loose contact) with the pole.
I've never forgotten that incident, from 1976.
We often did jobs together and we'd talk about our families. Joe loved his children and was always bragging about them.
When I got divorced, Joe was a good friend and offered me support. He'd met my husband at a crew Christmas Dinner and took a dislike to him. Joe told me I was better off without my husband.
I join the family in sadness at their loss and feel bad that I never picked up the phone to call and say "HI' after I retired.
My best wishes go out to all.

Joe,

We honor and appreciate your service in the Navy Submarine Service and the Air Force. You lived your life by your own rules and I will remember the good times and the things we shared. God has shown His mercy and has ended your pain and suffering. Rest and be at peace with God.

Forever in my memory,
Bonnie

I have you to thank for my sarcastic personality, my sense of humor, my tenacious attitude and so many other things because I am so much like you. As none of us are, you weren't perfect, but you were perfectly yourself. You lived your life your way, on your own terms. You will always be remembered for your gift of storytelling and always speaking your mind. Your life will live on in the stories we will tell about you. Rest in peace dad.

Love,
Chrissy
