Joseph was born an American citizen in Italy to his parents, Nicolo and Adelina, on November 12, 1925.
He enlisted in the Navy and served in WWII at 17 after graduating high school in an accelerated program and then later had a distinguished career in American and international psychology.
He met his beloved wife, Ruth, also a distinguished psychologist, at Brown University. Joseph will be remembered as a celebrated psychologist, professor, husband, father, and dear friend.
