4 years and it hasn’t gotten much easier that you aren’t here. Wish we’d had more time and that I had made better use of the time we had. As much as you annoyed and frustrated me frequently I still miss you and feel a hole in my life that I’m pretty sure will never go away. You are missed even though your gf at the time (years before all this) that broke up with you who met you through me and bad mouthed me to you and you ended up deleting me on all social media when you guys broke up. You were a safe, happy person from my memories of you the few times you stayed with us.  I remembered you helped us assemble furniture and I had gone to the store and came back with gifts but you had left to the airport already and said you later you’d be back.  Anyway take  care. Dear Joshua,
Today when I came home from work on this beautiful early Fall afternoon, I half expected to see you sitting in the backyard in the sunshine, listening to music and reading a book. I would have opened a couple of beers for us and we would have talked for awhile then had some dinner. So my reality is that you died, and I sit here in the garden, listening to Jimmy Buffet on the stereo, and drink a beer alone. Yesterday was the Forth of July, the first one since you died. You were the oldest of the cousins, and I remember how you all played in the pool, and all your cousins wanted to swim and play with you. As time went on, you graduated to sitting with the adults, and talking with your aunts and uncles. I thought of you all day, and I didn't go to the party. I don't think I can ever go again. Today I kayaked down the Gardon River in southern France. I played my cedar flute for you, and then I paddled under the Pont du Gard. I thought of you and I felt your presence.

Today I visited the Pont du Gard, in the Dept.of Gard, France. I placed a candle in a niche in the base of one of the arches and lit it for you. The bridge is incredibly beautiful and I hope you can see your candle, wherever you are now.

Josh came to visit me in a dream last night. He was working on someone's computer in the office I currently work in. He was wearing a brick red, short-sleeved, button up shirt tucked into his khakis (I'm sure his fleece north face jacket was somewhere near by ) He didn't say anything when he walked by me, but he had a great big smile on his face. To me that means that where ever he is...he's happy.
